KZN DESIGNERS TO SHOWCASE AT SA FASHION WEEK
The Kwa-Zulu Natal Fashion Council is pleased to announce the completion of the Fashion Design Capacity Building Programme (FDBCBP): 21 STEPS TO RETAIL
Through this programme, the KZNFC aimed to develop and mentor designers to a level where they can manage sustainable businesses. Designers were given the opportunity to bridge the gap between their design skills and business knowledge.
At inaugural, FDCBP participants were exposed to some of the South African fashion industry’s greatest minds and learnt how to balance creativity with sound business skills. With facilitators such as Lucilla Booyzen, Terence Bray, Gavin Reddy and Annette Pringle, participants were not short on knowledge to absorb.
Through their hard work, determination and commitment all designers who participated in the programme will be showcasing in the Buyers Lounge at SAFW.
The following designers have been selected to showcase on the runway at SAFW Autumn / Winter Collection 2014.
