Her name is Sarah Baum, a 20 years old born and bred Durbanite with a talent and passion for surfing (girl power!).
At the age of 9 Sarah was picked up by Roxy South Africa and started surfing National competitions and at 14 she surfed her first international contest, the Rip Curl Grom Search in Bells Beach, Australia! In this contest she came 3rd and ever since has been riding (and making) waves internationally.
As we all know, things change and Sarah has found herself in an unfortunate predicament. Left without a sponsor and a dream she wishes to achieve…
In pursuit of her dream she has been working in a Cafe south of Sydney, trying to make enough money to continue competing but has unfortunately not been able to make ends meet.
Her next few contests involve travelling to Mexico, USA, France and Spain which will involve a lot of travelling and of course money… this is where YOU come in. Sarah is appealing to every Durbanite who has ever had a dream to contribute and help her achieve hers! Money raised go towards her funding her dream of being on the World Championship Tour.
