Reaching KZN as part of their Fighting Back Tour in support of the new single “Fighting Back”, lead singer Melissa Conradie, grew up in Empangeni on the North Coast of KZN and looks forward to finally touring to her home province.
“Growing up in Empangeni with dreams of being in a Rock Band, it feels so great to finally come back home to KZN to make some noise in Pietermaritzburg and Durban with HOLLY & THE WOODS! We’re bringing our A-game to The Red Door and Live-The Venue!!”, exclaims Conradie.
Their album, “SO I RAGE” made its mark as a brilliant debut album from one of SA’s top new rock bands, HOLLY & THE WOODS, when it was released on the 08.08.08. Together for over 8 years, they’ve had some impressive live performances, sharing the stage alongside the likes of Shaun Morgan from SEETHER, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Sarah Bettens (from K’s Choice), The Ataris, Prime Circle and Van Coke Kartel. Singles “Save Me” and “Not Like Me” were #1 on some of the biggest radio stations in SA and “Fighting Back” is their first release of 2014.
