This week will mark the official launch of the International Hotel School’s exciting new website. With a new and improved user experience – stepping into the modern UX mould that offers a better user experience, IHS’s new website is top notch.

Having overseen the development of the new model along with Digital Marketing Agency, DigitLab, IHS Marketing Manager Ruth Paulsen said, “The idea behind the website was to target the youth, our target market, better by understanding user flow, learnt from analysing the user experience on our old website”

With this extensive research it was obvious that a large portion of users were accessing the previous website via their mobile devices. Therefore, IHS has taken a new approach with this in mind and improved their website accordingly, and worked on making the user experience more interactive and intuitive. The new site responds to the different views in a responsive manner without the need for separate websites, adjusting the content accordingly for the user’s screen size. The inclusion of a hidden menu system was created to keep a clean a crisp look to the site while engaing the user with a menu system that encourages discovery of content. Important links were kept on the home page to drive key aspects of the site, namely programme options and Applications. The home page includes links to the 4 major studies offered by IHS, this was done to speed up for users wanting to find out this information.

This new website is a step above the previous one with the home page including an integrated application process, Student life portal- including events, sport (coming soon), student blogs and news, Interactive navigation, Constant contact bar, Campus Hotspot maps (coming soon) and an opportunity for those interested to speak directly to one of our Brand Ambassadors and ask them questions directly.
