Have you ever felt a desire to help those less fortunate, those suffering and in need, those who have lost loved ones and those who need a hug and to know they are loved?

Have you ever said to yourself, “If only I had more time to give back, but life is just so busy!”

Well, you aren’t the only one and a local Proudly Durbanite community based organization, The Jingle Bell Project have been acting as a middle-man between Durbanites and local homes in need for the past 7 years!

They have various projects that run throughout the year, two of their biggest campaigns being run in June and December. Jersey June is a drive where winter woolies and blankets are collected and distributed to the needy just before the chill of winter sets in. The December drive falls over Christmas and this is where the name The Jingle Bell Project stems from. The idea for the December drive is to build Christmas gift hampers for the elderly and children’s homes; each is usually filled with items of need as well as treat/s. Along with this, a list of items in desperate need by the home is drawn up and the collection begins!

The Jingle Bell Project are passionate about Durban, their community and especially those less fortunate and are appealing to YOU to get in touch should you know of any organizations in need of some love and support.
