Actor, producer and entrepreneur, Tumisho Masha has won the fifth evening of Gateway’s Celebrity Chef Showdown at Café Limone where he competed with Oscar Trial 199 anchor and journalist, John Webb on Wednesday 24 September.
“Since the campaign started all I’ve wanted is to see myself winning this competition. Now that I have won my dream has been realized – I want to take this feeling all the way to the finals,” says Tumisho.
Tumisho’s winning menu comprised of; chicken livers in a peri peri sauce for starters; rump steak topped with mushroom sauce, served with chips and roasted vegetables for the main course. Chocolate brownies and ice cream were served for dessert.
“The greatest highlights for me were; working in the Café Limone kitchen with a very professional team; seeing how things work behind the service door as well as serving good food to my supporters who came out to back me,” says Tumisho.
John Webb wasn’t too happy about losing, but took it like a true gentleman. “Although I lost, I’m delighted to have participated. I’m happy to have met Tumisho, he is an absolute gentleman. Thank you to the Gateway marketing team for inviting me. I would definitely do this again,” says John.
All the winning celebrities will take part in the final evening which will be held at Beluga on 1 October. The lineup includes;
