On Sunday, November 29th there was much foot stomping, drum beats and celebrations from the uShaka Marine World Zulu Dance Championship finals.
The event was presented by Department of Arts and Culture. With the 10 Zulu Dance troupes finalists from around the province vying for the title, and showing off their talents, while creating a wonderful display of entertainment for visitors and judges alike. Overall, there could only be one winning troupe, with Umlazi African Jingle Dance Troupe who retained their 2014 title, and who took the R10 000 in cash, a floating trophy as well as yearlong contract with uShaka Marine World valued at R600 000.
