There is nothing better than jump starting your weekend a bit early with a Thursday night cinema excursion for you and your best girls. I was lucky enough to attend the Girls’ Night Out at Nu Metro Cinema, Pavillion this past Thursday, the movie… Dirty Grandpa!
Nu Metro and Samsung definitely pulled out all the stops and made sure that the evening was the light at the end of a long-work-tunnel. The entrance to the cinema was adorned with stands which catered to a lady’s interests as well as lucky draws and prizes. Once we had our fill of snacks, tasters and a few shots of liqueur (yum!) we entered a cinema of entirely woman – giggling, chatting and eagerly awaiting the start!
Now, let’s talk about the movie…
Jason Kelly (Zak Efron) is one week away from marrying his boss’s controlling daughter, putting him on the fast track toward a partnership at the law firm. However, when the straight-laced Jason is tricked into driving his foul-mouthed grandfather, Dick (Robert Deniro), to Daytona, Florida, for spring break, his pending nuptials are suddenly in jeopardy.
I don’t want to give away too much but can say that the script held the laughter in air and you must have a bit of a naughty side to enjoy the (few) dirty jokes. So do yourself a favour, take some “me time” and schedule a Girls’ Night Out with your besties, you won’t be disappointed.
